Samsung Electronics Co Ltd said on Wed it is rolling out the world’s smallest DRAM chip, widening its technological lead on opponents as it monitors towards an archive operating earnings in 2017 motivated by the semiconductor business.

The “second-generation” 10-nanometre school, 8-gigabit DRAM potato chips with improved upon energy efficiency and data control performance would be aimed toward premium data-crunching consumer electronics such as cloud processing centres, cellular devices and high-speed visual credit cards, Samsung said in a assertion.

This “aggressive” creation enlargement would “accommodate strong market demand,” said Gyoyoung Jin, chief executive of Ram Business at Samsung Electronics.
