MSI launches a featured-packed X299 motherboard tuned for high overclocks

MSI gone all from its new featured-packed X299 XPower Video games AC, a top-shelf motherboard that offers up almost every modern amenity you can think of. Created to handle Intel’s Central X series processors, the X299 XPower Video games AC includes a 14 period (12+1+1) ability design with loadline calibration to keep overclocks stable.

Beyond the restricted power rules and superior components, the X299 XPower Game playing AC is packed with features, including a set of second generation high temperature shields for M.2 SSDs. Whereas the initial temperature shield design was found to really increase temps by trapping temperature inside, MSI cases its new design does indeed an improved job and helps prevent fast NVMe M.2 SSDs from throttling. Color us cautiously positive until some outside the house testing can be carried out.

The brand new motherboard helps up to 128GB of DDR4-4133+ (OC) quad-channel storage area. In addition, it has four PCI-Express x16 slot machine games, an individual PCI-Express x1 slot machine game, 10 SATA 6Gbps slots, three M.2 slot machines, and an individual U.2 slot machine game.

For external connection, users get access to a lot of USB jacks, including six USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A plug-ins, a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A dock, a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C slot, and two USB 2.0 plug-ins on the trunk. There’s also USB 3.1 and 2.0 headers.

The trunk I/O houses dual Intel LAN jacks, though it isn’t clear if the motherboard helps slot aggregation. MSI also contains an Intel Wireless-AC cards. Both wired and cellular solutions include bandwidth management and traffic prioritization.

That is a seriously armored motherboard, both for durability and prevent electromagnetic disturbance (EMI), in the event that’s something you have a problem with. In addition, it features isolated ram circuitry to aid in performance and stableness.

Audio tracks circuitry is also isolated. It’s power by Nahimic 2+ and comes with an added audio tracks cover and gold sound connectors.

Unfortunately MSI didn’t say when the X299 XPower Video gaming AC will be accessible or for how much. Reuters
