Folding laptop concept unveiled by Lenovo

Wild concepts are unveiled just about every day by various outlets, but this concept by Lenovo might just top the lot. On Tuesday, Lenovo uses the Lenovo Transform event in the New York to show off what it thinks is the future laptops – a bendable laptop. Yup, you read that right. And not bendable to just an extent, bendable to the extent to which you can bend a piece of paper, except made with plastic, and with a color display.

Christian Theismann, who is the senior vice president of Lenovo’s commercial business was the one to unveil the concept. Before showing off the concept, Christian first gave a brief history of Lenovo’s laptop to the audience, and what he did next compel pretty much everyone to take out their smartphones, or whatever device they had on them, to take a picture of the mind-blowing concept.

There are a few things which can be noted. First of all, there seems to be room for the mouse functions, and instead, the graphic indicates that all the mouse functions might as well be carried out via voice commands. There is also a presence of the stylus, which can be used to write on the screen.

Now you’re probably wondering how the bendable screen would be made possible. Well, then I’ve got bad news for you, because at this time, Lenovo has only revealed that the screen would be made of ‘advanced materials’, and ‘new screen technologies.’ At this time, I’m not sure even Lenovo has much of an idea how they’re going to pull this off, but at least they have started on the right foot – having an idea! That’s the first step to everything, isn’t it? Reuters
