Facebook fires staff accused of bragging about his usage of private consumer information. Facebook Inc on 3 May said that it terminated a worker accused of bragging on matchmaking software Tinder about his usage of private customer information.

The occurrence comes as Facebook encounters global concerns about personal data level of privacy, including Congressional hearings of which CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified. A Tweets user previously 30 April placed screenshots of the Tinder talk, stating Facebook’s security engineer is “likely using privileged usage of stalk women online”.

Within the unverified screenshot, the worker involved writes to be a “professional stalker” looking for hackers. Jackie Stokes, creator of Spyglass Securities, experienced validated from LinkedIn, Tinder and different other profiles having said that staff was indeed a Facebook security engineer.

A Facebook spokesperson possessed apparently said then that Facebook’s security technicians get access to information that they consider to be essential for dealing with insect reports, bank account support questions and legal demands.
